AIHA: The American Industrial Hygiene Association

The largest organization of occupational and environmental health and safety professionals.

ACGIH: The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists

Best known for its Threshold Limit Values for Chemical Substances (TLV-CS) committee work.

ASHRAE: The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers

Provides research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education.

ASSE: The American Society of Safety Engineers

Information and resources serving safety professionals.

Bureau of Labor Statistics

The Injuries, Illnesses, and Fatalities (IIF) program provides data

on illnesses and injuries on the job and data on worker fatalities.

Cal/EPA: The California Environmental Protection Agency

An agency created to "restore, protect and enhance the environment,

to ensure public health, environmental quality and economic vitality".

CAL/OSHA

DOSH protects workers from safety hazards through its Cal/OSHA

program and provides consultative assistance to employers.

Fed/EPA: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

To protect human health and the environment.
